With LC3, the logic of modernity implements a separation between the metal supporting structure and the upholstered elements, recalling the architectural relationship between the concrete supporting structure and the infill elements. In this case, four cushions, unattached, are arranged in a cage of painted or chromed steel tubing that constitutes the primary support of the furniture in each of its types, from the armchair with single or double armrests to two- or three-seater sofas. Over the years Cassina has collaborated closely with Charlotte Perriand, her heir and the Fondatiòn Le Corbusier to introduce new versions and finishes that while reinterpreting the original design fully respect its authenticity. Prominent among these is the LC3 Outdoor variant, with a stainless steel frame and a special embossed paint finish in five colors. The cushions are covered with water-repellent canvas to ensure maximum durability and reliability in all weather conditions. Price refers to fabric category E.
