Designer: Le Corbusier Charlotte Pierrand & Pierre Jeanneret
An icon with a versatile and functional soul, designed in 1927 by Charlotte Perriand for her Parisian apartment in Place Saint-Sulpice. The design was first presented at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1928 and later exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in 1929, integrated into the collection co-created by Charlotte Perriand with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. The swivel armchair features a backrest and seat-cushion padded with polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, with leather or fabric upholstery. The outdoor version is made of stainless steel painted with outdoor-specific powder coatings in five embossed colors and a special polyester-spun fabric cover that mimics the aesthetics of indoor models. As of 2016, the armchair underwent a major structural upgrade that resulted in Catas certifications. Price refers to category E fabric. Also available the indoor version.
