Loos Cafe Museum
Designer: Gebrüder Thonet
A refined and timeless object. Elegance, formal lightness, and everydayness. Adolf Loos's famous chair lives again today thanks to new production techniques while maintaining the quality craftsmanship that has always distinguished it. Inspired by models No. 14 and No. 30 in the Thonet catalog and No. 248 in the Kohn catalog, the Loos Café Museum is designed in 1898 to furnish the famous Café Museum in Vienna. The innovative structure uses elliptical, rather than round, cross sections to give a light aesthetic without compromising stability. The Loos Café Museum has a one-piece curved seat frame with or without saddle modulation. The seat back has a partially oval section.
