Kampa
by Memphis
Designer: Ettore Sottsass
Kampa is a three-piece bookcase with table built by Ettore Sottsass as part of the exhibition "Long Furniture," produced by Post Design and presented at the Post Design Gallery, Milan, in April 2000. The three bookcase structures are made of composite wood veneer and the table is made of black painted steel. There is a halogen light built into the structure, located on the underside of the shelf above the table fixture. This piece is the first "Kampa" ever produced by Post Design. In 1997 the historic Italian design manufacturer Memphis decided to create the Post Design brand for its new product line. Post Design includes a wide range of collections created by Italian and international designers and artists, including familiar names such as Ettore Sottsass, Nathalie du Pasquier, Dennis Santachiara, and Johanna Grawunder and lesser-known names, to promote innovation and give visibility to young, emerging designers. Excellent condition. Unique piece out of production.
