LC1 Outdoor
by Cassina
Designer: Le Corbusier Charlotte Pierrand & Pierre Jeanneret
A light and compact seat, designed and presented in 1929 at the Salon d'Automne along with other important models such as the LC2 and LC3 armchairs, the LC6 table, and the LC4 chaise-longue. Like all of Le Corbusier's works, the LC1 armchair derives from an in-depth study of the body's posture and, in this particular case, offers the perfect support for composed relaxation that predisposes to conversation. The balance between form and function leverages the use of Modulor, a system based on the model measurements of the human body and a mathematical language based on the proportions of universal harmony. Its perfect compositional simplicity, adaptable to different contexts, is now also available in an outdoor version, with a special embossed coating in 5 colors and a wide collection of covers to choose from. Price refers to category E fabric and matte black painting. Also available the indoor version.
